DTF Heat Press Settings: Temperature & Time by Fabric (2026 Chart)

Getting clean, durable DTF prints comes down to three things: temperature, time, and pressure. Use this chart as a starting point, then test on a sample blank before a full run.
General DTF heat press settings
- Temperature: 300–320°F for most fabrics
- Time: 10–15 seconds
- Pressure: medium to firm (about 60 lb)
- Peel: cold peel for best results
Settings by fabric
- Cotton: 320–325°F, 12–15s
- 50/50 blend: 300°F, 12s
- Polyester: 270–285°F, 10s (lower temp avoids dye migration)
- Triblend: 275°F, 10s
Pro tips
Preheat the garment 3–5 seconds to remove moisture. For heavier fabrics like fleece or canvas, add 1–2 seconds rather than raising the temperature. Let the film cool fully before peeling. For a matte finish, repress with kraft paper for 10 seconds.
